At Upminster Bowls Club we pride ourselves in giving fair and equal treatment to all members who wish to progress in the game. Club games are played on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. Mixed play is encouraged and Mixed Drives and Friendly games are on offer throughout the season.

Match play can be offered in 3 Men’s Leagues (Romford Bowling Association, Brentwood and District Bowling Association, Clockhouse Trophy) and 2 Ladies’ Leagues (Gidea Park League, Hartswood Evening League).

We also enjoy fun games by challenging the Golfers at bowls and the Golfers challenge the Bowlers at golf with joint teams.
Another annual fun event is the Bowlers versus Staff challenge match.

Experience is not required and formal coaching can be arranged throughout the season. Initially all that is required is a pair of flat soled shoes. We have a selection of woods for you to try.

Socialise after your game on our sun terrace with a drink or two at Club prices for members or enjoy the indoor bar or lounges. We have our own Restaurant, two bars with Sky TV and a full-size snooker table available.
