DRESS CODE FOR MEN

IN THE CLUBHOUSE

           SMART CASUAL
To be worn on Club Social Occasions.  In the dining room on Sunday lunchtime, Saturday evenings and at the far end of the dining room on all occasions.  Also in the front lounge bar on Sunday lunchtime:-  Buttoned through, sleeved, collared shirts tucked into trousers.  Tailored full length trousers. (Tailored Jacket and Tie optional but preferred).  No jumpers or sweaters.

CASUAL
Can be worn in all parts of the Clubhouse except when smart casual is required as above:-  Sleeved and collared shirts tucked into trousers. Tailored full length trousers.

GOLF WEAR  Clean dry golf attire and bowling wear may be worn in the Clubhouse except when Smart Casual or Casual is required.  

SHOES
In the Clubhouse shoes are required to be worn with socks. Golf shoes are not allowed to be worn in the Clubhouse except in the changing rooms.

HATS/CAPS   No hats or caps to be worn in the Clubhouse.

ON THE GOLF COURSE
Collared, sleeved shirts or collarless round or V Neck shirts/tops with sleeves designed specifically as golf wear all tucked into trousers.  Sweaters, with or without sleeves. Long trousers, Plus Fours or Plus Twos.  (Long trousers must not be tucked into socks). Tailored golf shorts to just above the knee.  White ankle, calf-length or knee-length socks.  Studded golf shoes (metal spikes and soft spikes).  

NOT ALLOWED
Denims or Jeans of any type. Track suits, leisure suits, shell suites or parts thereof, trainers, plimsolls, T Shirts, football/rugby style shirts either in the Clubhouse or on the Course.

Any Member or Visitor who has dressed improperly will be asked to retire to obtain the correct dress.

The Captain and Lady Captain or in their absence the Secretary or Chair of Management have authority to relax the dress code when deemed appropriate.  Members and Visitors should not deviate without their permission.

The Captain, Lady Captain, Vice Captains, Secretary, Members of the Management Committee, House Manager, Bar and Catering Staff have authority in this matter.



DRESS CODE FOR LADIES

Ladies are expected to dress in a neat and tidy manner. The following items of apparel are not permitted:­

Jeans, Leggings, Track Suits and Trainers.

For golf, vest tops and shirts without collars may not be worn. It is permitted to wear tailored shorts but not more than
3 inches of leg above the knee may be exposed.

Golf shoes of any type may not be worn in the Club House, except in the changing rooms.  Entry or exit in golf shoes must be through the rear entrance.

LADIES
